Thanks for the Demonstration! What do i have to learn/practice to be able to make up fills on the spot and embellish like you did after you found the key?
So here’s a step by step guide to help you create once the key is established I’ll also include so video links to help understand this a little more:
Step-by-step:
1. Once you find the root/key verify what if it’s major or minor
2. Once you have that then find the chord tones which is 1,3,5,7 notes (major/minor scales) or you can also use the pentatonic scale as well (always a safe scale to use)
3. After that then you can start creating phrases from the notes of the attached scale and move them across the fretboard.
