Descending Mixolydian Groove
#BASSNATION In this week’s lesson I’ll be answering a member’s question about creating exercises or grooves out of scales without getting boring!! I’ll be showing you several examples of ways for you to expand on a scale and get back to learning and enjoying your practice time. This will help you to expand your fretboard knowledge and give you several ideas for different ways you can create your own fun exercises as you practice. Grab your bass and dig in with me!

Daric, I have a silly question, but when we’re using Db mixolydian scale, is the key still considered Db or is it in the key of F# (which Db is the 5th scale degree of)
This is actually a great question! It can technically be BOTH! That’s the beauty of it.
So yes Gb/F#Major ( Db mixolydian) great observation!!! And looking forward to that video 👌🏾
