What key would this be considered?
Hey Matthew, this would be in the key of E minor
OK. So if I was improvising over this groove one way to think about it is key of G Major (E relative minor) with the C and D major chord inversions you are playing as the 4th and 5th scale tones? Is that the right way to think about it? (Just trying to visualize what I can use or think about when improvising further over something like this.)
