Thanks daric! I was scared to even try that last week. But practicing all the ultra beginer exorcises made this easy once you slowed it down. Of coarse I can’t play it no where near as fast as you. But one DAY!!lol Thanks
Thanks Daric, I have some questions please. 1. At what time do you have to fill in minor pentatonic scale in a song?2. Minor pentatonic will have to go with key of minor….e.g if a singer is singing on E minor, can I decide to form my base line using E-minor scale and so on?These are relative questions to gospel bass
This is just an example of what you could possibly do inside of a groove or song. You can experiment with it as far as placement. Preferably you would want to insert this Lick/scale inside a open space of the song. Especially if the song is in a minor key, you can use this minor pentatonic scale/Lick as an option.
Visiting the archives….that opening “theme song” you is still killer!! Man you’ve come a long way in recording quality!
Lol thanks man! Tell me about it! Humble beginnings π€πΎπ
What is the second lick starting on the A of the G string? You mixed E minor, F minor, and threw in a passing note?

Definitely was the answer I was looking for! Thanks for explaining it. It makes more sense now. I know how to play arpeggios but I never really think of using them in my licks. This is a really good example of how. This groove is so funky! Thanks again.
Awesome! No problem man, so glad that helped!
New to the community and this is my first time posting to the site other than my intro to the community. Anyways, this is a great excersise as it gives me hope that I can learn to groove by myself lol. Sorry thats the tuba player in me coming out. I had to change it a little bit because of the drum track I was using but what do you think? https://youtu.be/ZcebEZGJZQo
Hey man this is awesome. This is a prime example of how to embellish an exercise and make it your own. Great job with this, your timing is really really good. Little hard to see your fretting hand but from what I can hear, great job with this.
Question, how long have you been playing six string, did you start on one?
I’ve been on the 6 string exclusively for the last 5-6 years or so.
