Permutations For Dexterity – Jacob’s Exercises

In the last lesson, Jacob and I discussed some permutation exercises that helped him tremendously with his dexterity. In this lesson we’re breaking it down.
We’ll work through three essential finger permutations designed to improve your fretting hand coordination, finger independence, and overall technique. These exercises are simple enough to practice every day, but challenging enough to expose weaknesses that often go unnoticed.
You’ll also find standard notation and tablature to download so you can follow along at your own pace.
In this lesson you’ll learn:
• Three effective finger permutation exercises
• How to develop better finger independence
• How to improve left-hand control and coordination
• Tips for practicing these exercises efficiently
• How to build a stronger technical foundation for everything you play
Take your time, stay relaxed, and focus on clean, controlled movements rather than speed. Consistency will produce better results than rushing through the exercises.
