The “Look Ahead” Exercise That Levels Up Your Technique
Take the lesson quiz below
In this lesson, we walk through one of my favorite arpeggio workouts. We start with a descending minor 7 arpeggio, follow it with a major 7 arpeggio, then shift the entire phrase up by half steps. The real challenge here is learning to look ahead and visualize the next note before you play it.
We practice the shift from the third finger to the first finger, keep the pattern clean, and stay locked in on finger placement. This exercise builds finger dexterity, strength, stretch control, and overall awareness on the fretboard.
Take it slow with us, focus on clean tone, and enjoy the challenge.

📚Homework Assignment📚
