2 Octave 5 String Major Scale Lesson
#BASSNATION this week’s lesson is geared mostly towards my 5 string players! I’ll be covering the major scale over 2 octaves! This is a really great lesson for anyone looking to expand their fretboard knowledge and navigation. If you work this into your practice and really get a handle on it, you can cover much of the fretboard with these tips!

Great 5 string lesson !!!
I cannot seem to find the tab for it?
Thanks Chris. Should be above the video try refreshing the page
Man THANK YOU DB man this opened my ability to stretch my neck & coupled with the (MODES) it makes SENSE!!
I found myself figuring out the minor modes just from moving my position & scaling a double octave now….. Not perfected but I get!
Wow Man! That’s so awesome! Great feeling when thins start to click and make sense. Love it 🤘🏾
Hi Daric! As a lady with small hands, this is a real stretch for me. This is why I tune down a whole step. That way every bass is a short scale. Thank you for making great lessons.
Hey, that’s very interesting. Small hands really shouldn’t be a factor when playing. You can always make the necessary shifts when playing and not have to physically stretch your hands. I started playing when I was 9 and didn’t have a choice lol. Would love to see you play a little for me 😉
thank you brother can you please include also the track for me to download and use it to do this exercise
Sure thing
the practice track should now be availble above the lesson video!
