Really digging these chords lessons. But for context, do you normally use these for soloing, or when can I use them in, for example, pop or gospel? Thanks again!
Hey Jason, I would mainly use these chords for soloing, but they can also be used as a reference point for improv also fills. I’ll show you all how to utilize these not just as “chords” but as tools for learning your fretboard better.
Ok. Thanks a lot. Diving back in!!
Daric,
this is fantastic! thanks for putting together. Will you also be posting songs played as chords on the bass.. some easy ones to get us started on that arc of the journey?
thanks and keeping it at the low end 🙂
mahesh
Absolutely! Yes. That’s also great practice . To learn an entire song with using chords on the bass. Awesome way to be more comfortable with the chord changes as well as the fretboard
thanks daric. will look forward to some such lessons where we play entire songs as chords… will be great practice indeed!
Hey Daric, you were talking about barring strings to produce chords. Is there a way to set up your bass to chord easier, like changing changing the fret wire ,or bridge and neck adjustments? Thanks
