  1. Hello Daric,I’ve been playing for over 40 years but never studied music seriously. I injured my left hand in an accident and now that it’s healing I’m stuck with what to study. Do you suggest these modal studies or would you suggest something else?. My right hand is fine but I need to develop my left hand. Would appreciate your advice on this matter.Sincerely,Gary L. Burdine

    1. Hey Gary! It depends on what your left hand needs work with. If it’s a physical issue as far as pressure on the fretboard, or whether it’s a stretching issue, or a dexterity issue. Knowing that would help me help you even further. For now, practice and focus on the left hand exercises. There are some available now directly focusing on the left hand technique. Would be great if I can see you in action. Whenever you have time, take advantage of the new section of the “video Q&A” where I can provide personal feedback to a video of your playing. I strive on helping you succeed to the next level! ?

    1. Hey Johnny! Glad you’re enjoying the lessons but not exactly sure what you mean. This particular lesson is in the key of C major. So the c major triad will be c-e-g the arpeggio will be c-e-g-b the fingering used is 2-1-4-3 or 2-1-4 (triad) hope this helps

    1. Hey, It is important! Especially depending on what field you choose to follow. Some musicians rely on solely reading music for they’re specific job. Keep in mind that I definitely know of a Ton of musicians that haven’t gotten away with not knowing how to read and have gone pretty far in their career. But I would say that learning to read gave me another outlook on my comprehension of music and theory. Also when I do get approached to do a “reading gig” I won’t be so lost

        1. Understood completely, the best way to get started on incorporating this theory into your playing is to practice walking bass lines. That way you learn the relationship between the chord changes in a song and the scale/arpeggio/triad that matches. I’ll link a lesson here

  2. I see that your playing the triads together. Is there a specific course on playing triads melodicly / together. Hope I termed my question correctly. As always I will play “clean , clear , and percise ” just as you’ve instructed. Your the best man. Take care. 🙂
