  1. Hi, Daric! Just recently started playing bass and I’m loving every minute of it!

Regarding this lesson and connecting first and last note in the pattern. I was wondering if this means that you are in every second through the song consciously aware of the chord that is coming next and you are aiming to land on some specific note in that chord?

      1. So sorry to hear about your father, Daric. Hope you and your family are doing ok.

Thank you for your extensive reply to my question, that was very helpful.
I always wondered if it is possible to be completely aware of all the chords that were coming in advance, the timing, what others are playing at that time an be in full control of where you are and where you want to end your licks, especialy in more of a improvisational style of playing where you dont want to play the exact same licks all the time.
I guess in the end its a kind of blend of all the focused practice, learning theory and patterns, licks, playing expirience and ear training that at some point come together so you kind of go on almost automatic mode.

It would be great if you could sometime make a video focusing on this “thinking process” that goes on while you play over some song.

P.S.: sorry if my English sucks sometimes. I am from Croatia so its not my native language.
