Playing Chords & Appropriate “Hand size”

  1. Hello! I’m new here and scrolling through the videos. I’ve seen people talk about “micro shifting” to help people with smaller hands who may not be able to stretch as wide, even after practicing it. can you show the proper technique for that?

      1. Heeey, thanks for the thorough reply! It did help. I was wondering your thoughts on it because I didn’t want to get to caught up in focusing on how to shift rather than learning how to play, if that makes sense. I’ve never heard the term either and just came across it while I was scrolling YouTube yesterday. It’s here at the 2:38min mark https://youtu.be/j3ygWtgWors?si=bF6ZanDrBHCJztpw
I can’t figure out how to add a pic here but, my hand is is about an inch shorter than a regular water bottle (closest comparison. lol) from the top of my middle finger to the bottom of the palm of my hand.
