Skipping String Exercise – 6th Intervals

In this lesson we review an oldie but a goodie! one of my most favorite exercises to this day! Simple but challenging enough for all levels of players to benefit from. As always i expect you guys to take this an run with it…add your own variations etc…Don’t hesitate to contribute your input and or questions !

This explanation was spot on as no one really ever broke it down like that… so the smoke and mirrors messed me up ๐
Glad I could be informative on that, It can be easily mistaken….hence the smoke and mirrors lol
A good lesson. I like the way you’re explaining the intervals. It’s close up, we can hear perfectly and it’s explained at a pace I can keep up with! (Considering I am very much out of practice!).
Thanks! I’ll do some good work on this.
Thanks Jen! I was hoping the quality wasnโt too bad. This exercise should be a good for for you ๐๐พ
Can you go over the descending part of the PDF? Especially third measure. Something doesnโt feel right or I just canโt get it! ๐

Thanks! This definitely helped. I referenced another lesson and found that they didnโt descend on intervals of 6ths.
I came up with a way to descend that fits my ears! I start on the E on the 7th fret of the G string. Works better for me.
Oops! 9th fret
Hey man, what do I always say?! Take it and run with it! That works ๐๐พ๐ค๐พ
