I would like to introduce bass cords in my music. Thanks for the lesson.
Thatās awesome! Chords are so helpful for the development of your playin! This is just the beginning! Stay tuned!
How do I do a run like that.
Hey I think I know what Ron youāre referring to. That was just a variation of the pentatonic scale I can demonstrate that in a video. Look out for that soon
Will do Thanks
Thanks for starting your site! Itās hard to find somebody you stand listening to teach music. Thanks Travis,
Lol thanks Travis! Appreciate it! My pleasure! Any questions donāt hesitate to ask
Teacher thank you for giving us direction. I hear chords I do know how to play and tap but I was so discouraged on how to play chords. Both parents play B3 organ and piano. So now I know my triads I just need to find out how to play them or flip them like you. Iām on my journey now Thanku. Aretta
When slapping do u have to adjust your bass set up for the sound to be right?
Hey, I would suggest that you check out the ātransitioning between stylesā lesson and also ābass eq 101ā. Its really personal preference but I find some of the best slap tone starts off with blend between both pickups
I play chords alot it’s a way of adding color and flavor to my playing. Marcel wright
Hello Daric, when do we play triad chords & 7th chords in a song? Because often times when I play 7th chords, it sounds off
Hello Daric. I’m new to the nation. Been playing most in church. More so by ear even though I have theory understanding. I consider myself a pocket player. That being said, I would like to improve in soloing. Not because I’m trying to stand out but for color. Could you recommend what lessons to watch for this and just a good practice structure?
Thanks.
Donovan
I would search my favorite players. who do what you āadmireā and IMITATE them , as your first stage. We learn by imitation.
1. I admire Daric
2. iām very experienced bass and keys player
3 I would first learn what 20th century players did FIRST in ensemble / supportive bass, ( soloing you can play chords ) before playing chords on a gig. You can play chords for solo, and while at home
But first deal with Duck Dunn, Jamerson, Rainey, Lee, White etc
4. Chords interspersed here and there while playing functional bass, is ADVANCED conceptually.
Really love it, the most helpful explanation of bass chords Iāve seen so far.
Awesome Brian! Thank you
