Thanks for the lessons. Finding them helpful. In the past when I’ve learned modes, I’ve learned them as:
1-Ionian: 1234567
2-Dorian: 12b3456b7
3-Phrygian: 1b2b345b6b7
4-Lydian: 123#4567
5-Mixolydian: 123456b7
6-Aeolian: 12b345b6b7
7-Locrian: 1b2b34b5b6b7
Which is different than starting the scale on the 2nd note for example if you’re playing Dorian. Do you mind commenting on the differences of approaches?

hey daric are those rules just for major scale ? cuz when ı put these for minor scale its not working .for example for c minor scale when ı start second note of c minor sclae ı mean D , and go dorian mode rule ıts not goıng to mınor scale . ıs there another rule or perspective for mınor scale ?

That’s because the c is the 6th which so the 1 would be Eb which would be major ..
