So if you’re playing outside, that could mean using outside notes to create tension to resolve a phrase?
Yes, playing outside of the scale will automatically disqualify it from being diatonic
never thought of doing chromatic inside a mode, makes sense like it. I thought chromatic runswere up and down one string… Cool
